God Put A Smile Upon Your Face by Coldplay
What simple things in life make you smile? A genuine smile...
I work in a hospital. Not in the medical field, but in a hospital, nonetheless. I love it! I love the feeling of walking through the halls and to know that there is such an energy of importance in the building puts a smile on my face. Perhaps, it is the fast pace or the rush of what emergency the sirens are bringing in. It might be a little morbid to say that such crisis makes me smile. To think that in some way I work for the same place, makes me smile.
Seeing someone grooving in their car makes me smile. Not just tapping their fingers or calmly singing along to a song. I mean really getting into it. The steering wheel is a drum. The dash board is a piano. No microphone necessary, because you are only singing for yourself to hear. You let it all hang out when it comes to your favorite part of the song. It makes me smile not because it is funny, because that person has so much energy for what they are doing at that moment. They might even drive around the block to finish hearing the song, before going home.
A genuine smile is infectous. When someone genuinely smiles at me I genuinely smile back.
