IF IT MAKES YOU HAPPY IT CAN'T BE THAT BAD

I don't think of myself as an unhappy person. I wouldn't say that I'm always a positive person. But I'm at least upbeat and happy. I've kind of unofficially called myself a rainbow-pissing Carebear. (Insert your own gay joke there.) I like to think I am anyway. It's the image I try and portray. Laid-back. Happy.
I'm human, I can be down and depressed just like anyone else. That's normal. And believe you me, I've been pretty depressed at times in my life. I am typically able to snap myself out of it. It has been more difficult lately, but I have still been able to do it.
Anyway... this is more a comment on being happy, not being sad.
I a former co-worker stopped by other day. She hasn't seen me since January if not before. We talked briefly about how work was going and what each of us had been up to. Later, she mentioned to another co-worker that I looked really happy. "[I] was glowing," she said. That was, perhaps, one of the best compliments I've received in a long time. Thanks Vicki! |
